Canonical Wage State Protocol

The Canonical Wage State Protocol, abbreviated CWSP, is Part I of WAGECODE v1.0. It governs how canonical wage economic state is represented through protocol-bound objects, factual inputs, authority descriptors, lifecycle rules and conformance requirements.

Scope

The Canonical Wage State Protocol is Part I of WAGECODE v1.0 and governs canonical wage-state representation through the Canonical Wage State Object, Wage Fact Set, Issuer Authority Descriptor, wage-state lifecycle and applicable conformance requirements.

CWSP is a component of WAGECODE v1.0. It is not an alternate name for WAGECODE and does not independently constitute the complete WAGECODE Publication.

Source map

CWSP draws on the following parts of WAGECODE v1.0:

  • Part I - Canonical Wage State Protocol
  • Appendix A.1 - Canonical Wage State Object
  • Appendix A.2 - Wage Fact Set
  • Appendix A.4 - Issuer Authority Descriptor
  • Appendix B.1 - Wage State Lifecycle
  • Appendix C.1 - Issuer Conformance Checklist
  • Appendix C.2 - Relying Party Conformance Checklist

Object relationships

CWSP binds together the Canonical Wage State Object, the Wage Fact Set, the Issuer Authority Descriptor and the wage-state lifecycle within declared bindings.

Boundaries

CWSP is not the entire WAGECODE Publication, a runtime, software, a payroll system, certification, CWSO Authority, a CWSO, or a legal determination.

Relationship to CWCS

CWSP governs canonical wage-state representation and objects; CWCS governs wage facts, computation and uncertainty treatment. They are distinct components of WAGECODE v1.0.

WAGECODE implementation independence and conformance do not grant or imply a licence to CWSO Authority proprietary runtime assets. Protocol conformance, runtime-asset authorisation and affiliation are separate questions.
